Buccal segments may be incorporated into lingual Brava treatment. Below are several scenarios where buccal segments can be beneficial. If you’re uncertain whether a buccal segment is appropriate for a specific case, our clinical team is available to review the situation and provide recommendations.

• To provide extra anchorage when closing extraction spaces, buccal segments can help prevent excessive dumping on teeth adjacent to the extraction site. 
• To retract very facially displaced canines whether on the upper and the lower where the lingual Brava can't reach.
