Submitting a New Patient in Brius Planner.

Step-by-Step Guide

  • Log into your Brius Planner account. Click the blue New Patient button.
  • A new window will open. Enter patient information (name, sex, DOB) then press  the blue arrow to go to the next step
  • Select STL file option.
  • If uploading to Planner, make sure the  STL files meeting the criteria below: 
    •  open shell format  (scan bases open and unsealed)
    • file per arch format (arches oriented in occlusion) 
  • If sending through a scanner portal, select sent via scanner option then select the scanner type. 
  • Click the blue arrow to go to next step.
  • Enter the treatment prescription
    • Simple RX option requires entering a few instructions and the Brius clinical team will create a treatment plan.
    • Comprehensive RX option asks for more information about the clinical conditions to treat.
  • Select teeth to move (the default is 6-6 but this can be modified to add or eliminate teeth being treated) 
  • Indicate teeth to be extracted and teeth not to move
  • Select class relationship and plan for molars
  • Select current bite and plan for correction
  • Indicate plan to treat midline and cross bite if applicable
  • Indicate plan for crowding and IPR
  • Indicate plan for spacing
  • Add additional treatment information under other instructions
  • Click blue arrow to go to next steps
  • Upload patient photos (composite or individual photo options available)
  • Upload x-rays (although option, they help ensure the best treatment plan).
  • Click blue arrow
  • Select if including CBCT. If including CBCT, upload where indicated
  • CBCT file criteria:
    • Both arches must be present
    • Upload zip file of the CBCT folder
    • Files must be in .dcn file format
    • Resolution must be acceptable
    • Scan must be no more than 6 months old
  • Once finished click submit to send the case to the Brius team
